Acceptance of terms

• By downloading or using chess2board, you agree to these Terms of Service.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use chess2board.
• These terms apply to all users — free and GM mode.

What chess2board provides

• chess2board uses AI to recognize chess positions from images. You take a photo or pick a screenshot, the app detects the pieces, and you can edit and export the position.
• Results are AI-generated and may contain errors. Always review the detected position before using it.
• We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Acceptable use

• Use chess2board for chess-related purposes only.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or overload the service.
• Do not use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service without our written permission.
• Violations may result in loss of access to the service.

Intellectual property

• Positions you scan and export are yours. You may use them for any personal or commercial purpose.
• Images you provide remain yours. We only process them on-device to detect the position.
• The chess2board platform, brand, and technology are our intellectual property.
• Chess.com is a trademark of Chess.com, LLC. Lichess is a trademark of the Lichess.org open-source project. chess2board is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Chess.com or Lichess.

Purchases

• The free tier is free forever. You get 2 scans, each recharging 24 hours after use.
• GM mode is a one-time purchase processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. No subscription.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice before any change takes effect.

Limitation of liability

• chess2board is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• AI-generated results are not guaranteed to be accurate. Always verify the position.
• We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.

Termination & account deletion

You may stop using chess2board at any time by deleting the app. You may also permanently delete your account data from the Profile tab in the app — this immediately and irreversibly removes all your saved data. We may also restrict or terminate access to the service if you violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
